It makes sense for beginners to choose Bonsai trees that are the easiest to grow. An example is the Blue Star Juniper known for its slow growth and ability to thrive indoors and outdoors (although they must be protected from harsh winters).
Other varieties include the Bonsai Japanese Red Maples, Vecchis Albero, Fig Bonsai trees (Ficus), Bonsai tree desktop, Bush Cherry Bonsai (flowering species) and Grapevine Bonsai (you can have a miniature vineyard indoors).
